Another splendid performance with Black Dyke, this time at the Festival of Brass, held at the RNCM. I had the pleasure of performing the 'Song and Dance' from Philip Wilby's euphonium concerto, along with several other impeccable pieces from the brass band repertory.
I also had the chance to participate in the RNCM's euphonium and baritone concert, held on the same day in the college's opera theatre. Steven Mead has very kindly uploaded a video of the entire concert to YouTube for you all to enjoy! Euphonium ensembles aren't the most agile of groups to play in, but thanks to the expert direction of college tutors David Thornton and Steven Mead, the group was whipped into shape quick-smart!
